What Is CDL ELDT Theory Training?

Since 2022, new Class A and Class B CDL applicants must complete Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) theory from an FMCSA-registered provider before the skills test. This is separate from the written knowledge tests you take at your state licensing office.
